Material:
450 (500, 550) g of Lana Grossa "Cool Wool Cashmere" (90% pure wool, 10% cashmere; 160 m/50 g) in Greige (col 16). Size 4 and 5 mm needles; size 4 mm circular needle, 40 cm long.
Shaker rib:
Odd number of sts. Row 1 [RS]: Selvage st, * make a yo, then slip next st as if to purl, k1; rep from * to last 2 sts, make a yo, then slip next st as if to purl, selvage st. Row 2 [WS]: Selvage st, * ktog next st and yo, p1; rep from * to last 2 sts, ktog next st and yo, selvage st. Repeat rows 1 and 3 throughout. Note: 1 st and 1 yo are treated as 1 st.
Slip stitch selvage:
Knit the first st of every row tbl and slip the last st of every row as if to purl with yarn in front of work. Work a slip st selvage throughout.
Gauge:
20 sts and 46 rows = 10 x 10 cm in shaker rib on size 5 mm needles.
Back:
With size 4 mm needles, cast on 103 (111, 119) sts. Next WS row: Selvage st, * k1, p1; rep from * to last 2 sts, k1, selvage st. Work in rib pat as established for 6 cm, ending with a WS row. Change to size 5 mm needles and work in shaker rib until back measures 39 cm from cast-on, ending with a WS row. Shape raglan armholes: Next RS [dec] row: Selvage st, work 1 st in shaker rib, SK2P, work in shaker rib to last 5 sts, k3tog, work 1 st in shaker rib, selvage st. Repeat dec row every foll 6th row 12 (13, 13) times, then every foll 4th row 0 (1, 3) times. Work 1 WS row, then bind off remaining 51 sts.
Front:
Work same as for back to armholes. Shape raglan armholes: Next RS [dec] row: Selvage st, work 1 st in shaker rib, SK2P, work in shaker rib to last 5 sts, k3tog, work 1 st in shaker rib, selvage st. Repeat dec row every foll 6th row 10 (11, 11) times, then every foll 4th row 0 (1, 3) times. At same time, when front measures 50 (52, 54) cm from cast-on, shape neck on next RS row as foll: Bind off center 21 sts. Working each side separately, bind off 5 sts at each neck edge twice, 3 sts twice, 1 st once and when front measures same length as back to shoulder, bind off remaining 3 sts.
Left sleeve:
With size 4 mm needles, cast on 43 (47, 51) sts. Next WS row: Selvage st, * k1, p1; rep from * to last 2 sts, k1, selvage st. Work in rib pat as established for 9.5 cm, ending with a WS row. Change to size 5 mm needles, work in shaker rib and shape sleeve as foll: Inc 1 st at beg and end of 15th (13th, 11th) row, then every foll 14th row 5 times, then every foll 12th row 5 times (then every foll 12th row 7 times, then every foll 10th row 5 times / then every foll 10th row 13 times, then every foll 8th row once) = 65 (73, 81) sts. Cont in shaker rib until sleeve measures 43.5 cm from cast-on, ending with a WS row. Shape raglan cap: Work decreases at beg of RS rows same as for back armhole shaping, work decreases at end of RS rows same as for front armhole shaping, then at beg of WS rows, bind off 4 sts once, 2 sts 5 times, 3 sts once. No sts remain.
Right sleeve:
Work same as for left sleeve, reversing cap shaping.
Finishing:
Pin pieces to measurements and block. Sew raglan seams, working ½ st in from edge. Neck edging: With size 4 mm circular needle and RS facing, pick up and knit 102 sts evenly around neck edge. Join for working in rnds, knit 2 rnds, then bind off all sts. Sew side and sleeve seams.

650 (700, 750) g of Lana Grossa "365 Yak" (66% cotton, 22% polyamide, 12% Yak; 145 m/50 g) in Light Blue/Grey (col 8). Size 5 and 5.5 mm needles; size 5 mm circular needle, 40 cm long; size 4.5 mm crochet hook; cable needle [cn]; one 65 cm long twoway zipper.
Rib pattern:
K2, p2.
Cable pattern:
Multiple of 12 + 2 selvage sts. Work according to chart. Numbers at right edge of chart indicate RS rows; on WS rows, work sts as they appear. Repeat rows 1 – 12 throughout.
Stockinette:
K on RS, p on WS.
Gauges:
On size 5.5 mm needles, 23.5 sts and 32 rows = 10 x 10 cm in stockinette; 31.5 sts and 30 rows = 10 x 10 cm in cable pat.
Back:
With size 5 mm needles, cast on 106 (126, 142) sts. Next WS row: Selvage st, k1, * p2, k2; rep from * to last 4 sts, p2, k1, selvage st. Work in rib pat as established for 5 cm, ending with a WS row, increasing 16 (20, 28) sts evenly across last WS row = 122 (146, 170) sts. Change to size 5.5 mm needles. Next RS row: Work row 1 of chart, work the 12-st pat rep 10 (12, 14) times across row. Cont in cable pat as established until back measures 42 cm from cast-on, ending with a WS row. Shape armholes: Bind off 6 sts at beg of next 2 rows, 3 sts at beg of next 2 rows, 2 sts at beg of next 4 rows, 1 st at beg of next 6 rows = 90 (114, 138) sts. Cont in cable pat until back measures 63.5 (65.5, 67.5) cm from cast-on, ending with a WS row. Shape shoulders and neck: Bind off 4 (7, 10) sts at each shoulder edge once, 5 (8, 11) sts 3 times. At same time, on first row of shoulder shaping, shape neck: Bind off center 22 sts. Working each side separately, bind off 10 sts at each neck edge once, 5 sts once. No sts remain after shoulder and neck shaping is complete.
Left front:
With size 5 mm needles, cast on 54 (64, 72) sts. Next WS row: Working first 5 sts after selvage st as k1, p2, k2 (p1, k2, p2 / p1, k2, p2, work in rib pat as established for 5 cm, ending with a WS row, increasing 8 (10, 14) sts evenly across last WS row = 62 (74, 86) sts. Change to size 5.5 mm needles. Next RS row: Work row 1 of chart, work the 12-st pat rep 5 (6, 7) times across row. Cont in cable pat as established until left front measures same length as back to armhole. Shape armhole at right edge same as for back = 46 (58, 70) sts. Cont in cable pat until left front measures 56 (58, 60) cm from cast-on, ending with a RS row. Shape front neck edge: At beg of WS rows, bind off 15 sts once, 6 sts once, 2 sts twice, 1 st twice and when left front measures same length as back to shoulder, shape shoulder at right edge same as for back. No sts remain after shoulder and neck shaping is complete.
Right front:
Work same as for left front, positioning pat to mirror left front and reversing all shaping.
Sleeves:
With size 5 mm needles, cast on 50 (58, 58) sts. Next WS row: Selvage st, p1, * k2, p2; rep from * to last 4 sts, k2, p1, selvage st. Work in rib pat as established for 5 cm, ending with a WS row. Change to size 5.5 mm needles, work in stockinette and shape sleeve as foll: Inc 1 st at beg and end of 9th (9th, 7th) row, then every foll 8th (8th, 6th) row 15 (12, 17) times, then every foll -- (6th, 4th) row -- (4, 4) times = 82 (92, 102) sts. Cont in cable pat until sleeve measures 47 (47, 45) cm from cast-on, ending with a WS row. Shape sleeve cap: Bind off 4 sts at beg of next 4 rows, 2 sts at beg of next 4 rows, 1 st at beg of next 20 rows, 2 sts at beg of next 4 rows, 4 sts at beg of next 2 rows, 6 sts at beg of next 2 rows. Work 1 WS row, then bind off remaining 10 (20, 30) sts.
Finishing:
Pin pieces to measurements and block. Sew shoulder seams. Collar: With size 5 mm circular needle and RS facing, beginning at right front neck edge, pick up and knit 132 sts evenly along right front, back and left front neck edge and work in rib pat for 16 cm. Bind off all sts. Right front edging: With size 4.5 mm crochet hook and RS facing, beginning at cast-on edge, work 1 row single crochet, then 1 row crab stitch [work single crochet from left to right] along right front edge including collar edge. Left front edging: With size 4.5 mm crochet hook and RS facing, beginning at top edge of collar, work 1 row single crochet, then 1 row crab stitch [work single crochet from left to right] along left front edge to cast-on edge. Beginning at center of collar and ending at cast-on cast-on edge (1 cm / 3 cm up from cast-on edge), sew in zipper. Fold collar in half to WS and sew down. Sew short edges of collar tog. Zipper facing: With size 5 mm needles, cast on 176 (180, 184) sts and work in rib pat for 4 cm. Bind off all sts. Sew zipper facing to WS of right front and collar, 2 cm in from front edge so that 2 cm of the facing shows on the RS. Sew in sleeves. Sew side and sleeve seams.
