Materials:
250 (300, 300) g of Lana Grossa „Lala Berlin Hairy“ (42% acrylic, 37% alpaca, 14% wool, 7% polyamide; 80m/50g) in Pale Pink (col 16) and 200 (250, 250) g in Ivory (col 15). Size 7 and 8 mm needles; one set size 7 mm double-pointed needles [dpns].

Garter selvage:
Knit the first and last st of every row. Work a garter selvage throughout. Rib pattern: K2, p2.

Stockinette:
K on RS, p on WS.

Reverse Stockinette:
P on RS, k on WS.

Gauge:
10 sts and 15 rows = 10 × 10 cm in stockinette and reverse stockinette on size 8 mm needles.

Back:
With size 8 mm needles and Pale Pink, cast on 55 (59, 63) sts. Next WS row: Knit. Next, work in stockinette until back measures 32 cm from cast-on. Place a locking marker at right and left edge to indicate beg of armholes. Cont in stockinette until back measures 17 (19, 21) cm from markers, ending with a WS row. Shape shoulders: Bind off 6 sts at each shoulder edge 3 times (6 sts twice, 7 sts once / 7 sts 3 times). Bind off remaining 19 (21, 21) sts.

Front:
With size 8 mm needles and Pale Pink, cast on 27 (29, 31) sts, then with Ivory, cast on 28 (30, 32) sts. Next WS row: Knit. Work each block of color with separate ball of yarn. Twist yarns around each other at each color change to prevent holes. Next RS row: With Pale Pink, work first 27 (29, 31) sts in stockinette; with Ivory, work remaining 28 (30, 32) sts in reverse stockinette. Work in pat as established for a total of 4 rows. Next RS row: With Pale Pink, work first 26 (28, 30) sts in stockinette; with Ivory, work remaining 29 (31, 33) sts in reverse stockinette. Cont in this manner, working 1 st less in stockinette and 1 st more in reverse stockinette every foll 8th row 8 (9, 9) times. At same time, when front measures 29.5 cm from cast-on, switch colors, i.e. work sts previously worked with Pale Pink now with Ivory and vice versa. At same time, when front measures same length as back to markers, place a locking marker at right and left edge to indicate beg of armholes. Cont until front measures 17 (19, 21) cm from markers, ending with a WS row. Shape shoulders and neck: Work shoulder shaping same as for back and at same time, on first row of shoulder shaping, shape neck: Bind off center 11 (13, 13) sts. Working each side separately, bind off 4 sts at each neck edge once. No sts remain after shoulder and neck shaping is complete.

Right sleeve:
With size 7 mm needles and Pale Pink, cast on 22 (22, 26) sts. Next WS row: Selvage st, k1, p2, k2; rep from to last 4 sts, p2, k1, selvage st. Work in rib pat as established for 5 rows = approx. 3 cm. Next RS row: Work in stockinette and increase (increase / decrease) 1 st = 23 (23, 25) sts. Cont in stockinette and shape sleeve as foll: Inc 1 st at beg and end of 9th row, then every foll 10th row twice, then every foll 8th row 4 times (at beg and end of 7th row, then every foll 8th row 5 times, then every foll 6th row 3 times / at beg and end of 7th row, then every foll 8th row 3 times, then every foll 6th row 6 times) = 37 (41, 45) sts. Cont in stockinette until sleeve measures 50 (51, 52) cm from cast-on, then bind off all sts.

Left sleeve:
With size 7 mm needles and Pale Pink, cast on 22 (22, 26) sts and work in rib pat same as for right sleeve. Next RS row: With Ivory, work in reverse stockinette and increase (increase / decrease) 1 st = 23 (23, 25) sts. Cont in reverse stockinette and work sleeve shaping same as for right sleeve and when left sleeve measures same length as right sleeve, bind off all sts.

Finishing:
Pin pieces to measurements and block. Sew shoulder seams. With dpns and Pale Pink, pick up and knit 48 (52, 56) sts around neck edge. Join for working in rnds and work rib pat in rnds for 16 cm. Bind off all sts in rib. Sew on sleeves between markers. Sew side and sleeve seams.
