Materials: Lana Grossa quality "New Cotton" (60% cotton, 40% microfibers/ polyamide, mt = 140m/50g) 500 g beige (col 33). One pair 4.5 mm needles, one long 4.5 mm circular needle and 4 buttons (from Union Knopf ).
Garter stitch: K all rows.
Eyelet pattern 1: work foll chart.
Eyelet pattern 2:   1st row: * K2 tog, 1 yo, rep from *. 2nd row: K sts and yo‘s. Rows 3-16: K. Rep rows 1-16.
Bobble border:   (over 12 sts at end of row resp. joined): 1st row = right side: K2 tog, 2 yo‘s, K2 tog, K7, edge st. 2nd row = return row: edge st, K8, into both yo‘s of previous row K1 and P1, K1. Rows 3 and 4: K. 5th row: K2 tog, 2 yo‘s, K2 tog, K2, * 2 yo‘s, K1, rep 3 times from *, 2 yo‘s, K2, edge st. 6th row: K, into all 2 yo‘s of previous row K1 and P1 each = edge sts, K3, * P1, K2, work 3 times from *, P1, K4, P1, K1 (= 20 sts). Rows 7 and 8: K. 9th row: K2 tog, 2 yo‘s, K2 tog, K15, edge st. 10th row: edge st, K12, winding yarn before passing twice round needle, 2 yo‘s, K4, into both yo‘s of previous row K1 and P1, K1 = 22 sts. 11th row: K7, into 2 yo‘s of previous row, K1, P1, K1, slip foll 12 sts purlwise, dropping yo‘s of previous row, return the 12 sts to left needle, then K the 12 sts tog, edge st = 12 sts. 12th row: K. Gauge: garter stitch: 20 sts and 36 rows to 10 cm or 4" square
Note: work fronts and back crosswise
Left front: start at side seam and cast on 71 sts and cont as foll: edge st, 8 sts garter stitch, 50 sts eyelet pattern 1, then 12 sts bobble border. For armhole inc on 5th row 1 st at right egde, then on every alt row 1 st 3 times, 2 sts twice, 3 sts once, for armhole height inc 27 sts once = 109 sts, work inc in garter stitch. When work measures 15 cm or 6” from beginning bind off for neck shaping 1 st from right edge, then on every alt row 1 st once and 2 sts 19 times. When work measures approx. 27 cm or 10 5/8” (8 bobbles are worked) bind off rem 69 sts.
Right front: work in reverse to left front. After 2 cm or 13/16" work buttonholes (each time 1 yo, 2 sts tog), top buttonhole 2 cm or 13/16" from neck edge, foll buttonholes spaced approx. 8 cm or 3 1/8" apart.
Back: cast on 71 sts and cont as foll: edge st, 8 sts garter stitch, 50 sts eyelet pattern 1, 12 sts bobble border. Work armhole and armhole height inc as given for fronts = 109 sts, work inc in garter stitch. After 15 cm or 6" from beginning bind off for neck on every alt row 3 sts once, 2 sts once and 1 st once, after 25 cm or 10" from beginning = center back, end piece in reverse (work dec for inc and vice versa).
Sleeves: cast on 50 sts and cont as foll: 6 rows garter stitch, 66 rows eyelet pattern 2, at the same time from beginning inc for sleeve shaping 1 st at each end on 15th row once, then 1 st on every 16th row 4 times and 1 st on every 14th row 5 times = 70 sts, after last eyelet row cont in garter stitch. When work measures 44 cm or 17 1/4" from beginning bind off for sleeve top at each end on every alt row 3 sts once, 2 sts once, 1 st twice, then 1 st on every 4th row 6 times and again on every alt row 1 st 6 times, 2 sts twice, 1 st 3 times, bind off rem 18 s
Finishing: join shoulder, side and sleeve seams. Sew sleeves in position. For neck border pick up with circular needle along neck borders and back neck 124 sts and work 6 rows garter stitch, bind off. Sew on buttons.
